Surfari Itinerary

Saturday, 7th – Monday 9th October
With Lahinch as the base visiting Cornish, Spanish Point, etc. (Crab Island hadn’t been discovered at the time but it’s optional).
Kenny’s Bar, Lahinch to be meeting point with entertainment on the Saturday night.

Tuesday, 10th October
Free to check West Connemara/Achill
Possible get together in Clifden for the overseas visitors on the Tuesday night.

Wednesday, 11th and Thursday, 12th October
Surf Augris/Strandhill. (Easkey optional as it wasn’t discovered at the time)
Entertainment base to be Strand Lounge, Strandhill.

Friday, 13th October, Saturday, 14th October and Sunday, 15th October
Surf Rossnowlagh, Tullan (Peak optional as it wasn’t discovered until later)
Patron’s Dinner in Sandhouse Hotel, hopefully sponsored, Friday, 13th October with inter-county entertainment on Saturday, 14th October.

Objectives

- To honour the deceased original patrons of Irish Surfing, Dr. Hugh O’Brien Moran, Vincent Britton and Harry Evans.

- To celebrate 40 years of Irish surfing 1966 – 2006.
